Bintan, Batam's neighbour, is known for beach resorts, green landscapes and Malay history in Tanjung Pinang.
Domestic ferries to Bintan leave from Telaga Punggur Terminal in Batam, heading to Tanjung Uban for Lagoi and the north coast, or to Tanjung Pinang for the town and Penyengat Island. The crossing takes under an hour, then continue by road.
